It's been a long, tiring but satisfying weekend.
@
9:56 AM
7 hours at the piano can tone your thighs.
No kidding with the muscle cramp though.
Had dinner on Sunday with Mi's parents.
My first time without Mi there.
I guess I finally stopped being shy with them.
They are truly incredible people having gone to so many places in Malaysia.
And so many stories to tell.
I could have stayed there all night.
Some friendships run deep.
Until the ocean can't part us.
These are the ones
Truly cherished.
I pray that you'll have a good job there, my doggie friend.
And happiness living there.
May all things work out well for you.
I'll miss your dogs more than you, though.
Muahahahahaha!
What to do, Logan has a shorter lifespan than you.
I hope I can see him again in January.
And the new xiao tar kou.
And Jen, I hope now you realize you owe me a bigger bigger bigger teddy bear on my birthday.
Bhahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Counting Days
@
10:01 AM
It's one of those days,
Where I'm counting days,
There's
7 days left in July.
15 days left of being here.
Minus 2 off days I'm supposed to take, 13 days.
I think it should befitting for my last day to be 13th August.
Too bad it's not a Friday. Muahaha!
32 days to new place.
33 days to Mi's birthday.
36 days to Mi's birthday.
36 days to LL's birthday.
36 days to Linnet's birthday.
Linnet, my abandoned acoustic.
She was bought on the day LL was born, cool right?
Gosh, at this moment I can't even remember where I left her.
My poor baby.
37 days left of fast & prayer going on nationwide.
Ok, that's as far as my brain can go today.

All it took was....
@
9:31 AM
One long flood of tears
And an amazing long deep conversation with an old friend.
(It was good for the soul, Vi. Thanks for dinner!! Now where are my pictures???)
To get me back on track. To see things from His point of view again.
And when I did see it His way, I actually managed to laugh at myself.
What a baby I am!
I still can't believe I stayed out til 2am.
Of course I had to face the music when I got home because he had gone to bed and woke up to find me missing.
Man, it's been quite a while since I have to use my remorseful voice.
Heheheee!
That makes my 2nd late night out in 2 weeks in a row.
I'm starting to think it's never too late to develop a rebellious streak.
Cake number 2 failed.
I wonder if there's a curse of disaster cakes on me.
I'll just stick to cookies.
Blinky's been abandoned for quite a while.
Poor dear.
Now I need to look forward to the end of July and my new job.
There's 10 days of July left.
May I keep the insanity level to a minimum!
Hahahahahaha!

A little pick-me-up
@
10:02 AM
I've been on a serious down this whole week.
The peace from Wed's night lasted until morning.
The surprise of the confirmation call (finally!) lasted only about 1 hour.
Even the thought of the coming weekend plans can't boost my spirit up.
There's some serious baking to do. And jamming.... all planned up.

Even the thought of the coming weekend plans can't boost my spirit up.
There's some serious baking to do. And jamming.... all planned up.
And then suddenly, here I am receiving a little happy booster from a non frequent forwarder.
Thank you, God.
Now how about just jabbing me with a seratonin booster?
Now how about just jabbing me with a seratonin booster?

Take my life
@
9:36 AM
How many times have I turned away
The number is the same as the sand on the shore
But every time You've taken me back
And now I pray You'd do it once more
Please take from me my life
When I don't have the strength
To give it away to You
Please take from me my life
When I don't have the strength
To give it away to You, Jesus
How many times have I turned away
The number is the same as the stars in the sky
But every time You've taken me back
And now I pray You'd do it tonight
~Third Day 'Take my life'~
The number is the same as the sand on the shore
But every time You've taken me back
And now I pray You'd do it once more
Please take from me my life
When I don't have the strength
To give it away to You
Please take from me my life
When I don't have the strength
To give it away to You, Jesus
How many times have I turned away
The number is the same as the stars in the sky
But every time You've taken me back
And now I pray You'd do it tonight
~Third Day 'Take my life'~
I'm so sorry for wrestling against You
The chance to serve another gone
Take away my selfishness, Lord
The irony of hearing the song
Yet unable to give up my will
Take away my will, Lord
I want to say 'I do' so badly
It scares me, Lord
So take away my fear, Lord
For only You knows where I am headed
Take away my life, Lord.
In Jesus name, Amen.

Another Long Weekend
@
10:03 AM
The replacement bf was at work again on Friday night.
Hahaha, reminds me of replacement killer. Cool term.
But I think it was seriously awesome to be able to stay up til 1am outside, without my dad's knowledge.
The sense of freedom was just exhilarating.
Too bad we both couldn't stay up til 3am.... I guess age is catching up with you.
Hahahaha!
In the morning, my dad told me he and his friends went for breakfast and drinks at 2 shops that morning.
It's the first time he did such a thing.
The thought that I did the same thing the night before was just amusing in my head!
If he only knew......
Hahahaha!
I burnt my first cake on Sunday. See, I've been telling people cookies are the safest.
If cookies get a little overcooked we just say it's crispy....but with cake.........*sigh*
Was so upset that my dad had to reassure me that she used to burn a lot of cakes too.
And he made her double layered aluminium baking pan so that she won't burn the sides of her cakes...........how sweet is that?
Yesterday, Odie got a whack on his side, due to my miscalculation of his ears relative to his butt.
Next time I need to remember that once his ears are passed the gate doesn't mean that his butt will get in safely also.
My dad says I should never attempt to turn a car more than 90 degrees into the house.
But thankfully it was only a small scratch left after my dad wash my car. Muahaha!
The gate had a bigger hit mark! Odie'smy the strong man!!!

On this day...
@
9:36 AM
God is awesome!
He really is.
He really is.
The call came after a 'celebration' of joblessness.
Hot out of the oven.
Hahaha, I presume that means she just hanged up on her discussion with the manager.
The burst of joy was just so overwhelming!!
To be spoon fed a job twice in a row just blows my brains out!
I really don't deserve it.
I remember telling my first job interviewer that 'I know you're doing this interview because you have to...'The chill down my spine was really something when I got it.
This time round....pure goosebumps from the moment she said 'We're looking for people to......' in the small talk people have at weddings. And to feel that same chill again.
Because I know then this was planned by Him.
To not look for any other jobs (except for one application in job street) in the midst of waiting, was very risky.
That would have been...foolishness, I know.
It's good to be assured over and over again that He never fails.
To trust and to hope and to cherish for eternity......okay, I'm starting to sound like a wedding vow.
Now, if I can just surrender my relationships with people that way to Him....

9:42 AM
Chatting with Jen today, I realized I haven't done this for a very long time.
Back to basics.
If only life can go back to then,
I would sail away,
On the passage of time.
Against the current leading me forward,
Back to how once was.
But life is not a river,
Moving backward not an option.
So let's just move on,
To another phase in life.
I'm handing in my letter today.
I'm afraid that reality is now striking down hard.

The Leibniz and Fuller quote
@
11:31 AM
Music is the pleasure the human mind experiences from counting without being aware that it is counting.Gottfried Leibniz
Stumbling upon this quote, I have a confession to make:
I never seems to be able to sustain the same tempo.
When there's no drum beats to guide, that is.
Too much Jim Brickman or Nodame Cantabile OST in my head, me thinks.
Jim Brickman tends to be relaxing and full load of leisure timing.
While Nodame Cantabile OST.....well she is Nodame so what would you expect. Hahahaha!
I wonder if this is what impacts my counting skills.
Personally I cant be bothered with it.
Music is nothing else but wild sounds civilized into time and tune.Thomas Fuller
But, it's a killer enjoyment to others.
And the impact as a team....needless to say terrible.
I'll be going '1 2 3 4 1 2 *pause*..oh crap I lost count! Kiu mia!!!' in my head...
Then when someone guides me back on track by whispering the beats to me....
I know I'm very blessed
More importantly, the team always forgive me for losing count.
Although it's seriously brainless to not be able to maintain a tempo.
Man, I must be wild.
Hahahahahahahahahahaha!

Smelling good
@
10:15 AM
After a week of awful smells and sounds, it was just splendid to be able to go home for the weekend.
Baking can be so relaxing when you have the whole house to yourself for the whole afternoon.
And the smell of freshly baked cookies wafting through the house......
Too bad Blinky's battery was dead and I've forgotten where I left the charger.
I had to use my handphone's camera function. And the lens there was pretty dirty...
I made my first batter ever from scratch consisting of,
Approximately,
250gm of butter
250gm of sugar
2 normal size eggs
A splash of vanilla flavor
A big dollop of Hershey's chocolate sauce
450gm of flour
A pinch of salt
1 tablespoon of baking powder and some more that spilled it way into the bowl....
Chocolate chips for decoration
Even more kawaii!!!
Staring at the cookies too long can lead to a reminder of a certain body part.
But I think it's worst without chocolate chips.
When I ran out of chocolate chips, I made 'X's and 'K's on top of them.
Hahahaha!
And my dad is all stocked up for a few weeks at least! Yay!
On some other notes,
It was weird and a tad annoying to hear the sound of violin at practice again.
Ear tolerance was low after a year or so of absence of that spooky sound.
But after awhile, old goosebumps crawl up your skin again.
And that is well with my soul.
Now all he has to do is play the goosebumps song,
and make us all weep once more.

Let me just warn you, that's enough batter to make about 50 medium and 50 mini cookies!
Hahahaha!
Hahahaha!
The texture was more like ice cream then dough like the premix.
I was a tad worried because there was so much batter,
I thought it was going to turn disastrous.
Like ice cream....
The first batch I made without any chocolate chips on top was too darn plain.
And they really blossomed in A#.

So the next batch I made really small.

Hahahaha!
I got sick of plain cookies midway through, so I stole some of my dad's instant oats and add it to the batter.
Besides, I think he would prefer his cookies that way. Healthier.....Hahaha!
The oats remained white even after baking.
Sadly I forgot to take pictures of them.
Needless to say the mini cookies, I kept aside to give away. 2 tupperwares.
Wishing I have the guts to give to certain people. Hahaha!
This morning my grandma gave me the thumbs up sign for the oat cookies. *big grin*

Bus Mistake
@
9:07 AM
I almost got hit by a bus this morning.
Coming out from the junction, the bus had his indicator on and usually they'd stop right before the junction to pick up people. So I slowly drove my car out and watch in slow motion as instead of stopping, the bus accelerated a little and stopped just in time, a feet away from my car.
And as I sped away, the bus didn't move for as long as I could see it in my rear view mirror. Indicator still on. I wondered if it was as much a shock to the driver as it was for me. I hope no one was hurt.
I know He kept me safe.
Yet,
I wonder if I have a death wish on myself in order not to endure another day here.
Kamikaze.
An English response to this:
Quaint my $#%.......

Food binge
@
11:22 AM
In the span of 10 hours yesterday I went on a food binge.
Finished a 200gm bag of Arnott's chips. They were lovely, thanks San!
100plus.
Scrambled eggs.
Had hor fun for dinner where I forced myself to finish everything.
Justea.
It's been a while since I ate that much in a day.
On another note,
Lord, please teach me to endure this new neighbor with his burps and coffee stinks.
Help me to keep the foul taste of vomit down.
And most of all to keep my temper and face expressions in check in this uneasy time.
In Jesus name, Amen.
It's not funny, it's really a nightmare......
*afterthought*
I'm suddenly reminded of the episode of House last night, where his patient had a personality disorder where he would mimic the more dominant person in the room. And when House discovered the patient's real person was actually someone who sells agricultural tools and had to smell dung all the time, he wasn't disgusted but focused on curing the patient instead. Cool, right?
*edited at 5pm*
he has snorted, burped, sneezed loudly til the other side of the dept can hear.....
and this is only day 1
