Ready...

A constant tension makes beautiful music.

This quote has been on my mind for a couple of days now.
And I think I understand it, or at least I hope I do.

I don't quite know what to feel.
Today at work I signed the paper.
The paper that gives me a slight increment (which funny enough matches the amount of money I spent on the Koi water brush pens) and the 'dream job' title.
The one that doubles my responsibilities and keep me on with my boss as he is.

And then tomorrow is going to be the meetup.
Fingers are a little sore from last minute practices.
On the surface level, I'm a little excited, a little amused at how Hair stumbled about with arranging a meetup and a little anxious to just get it over with.

My heart is ready.

I don't know when exactly I reached this point of no longer asking what if it hurts again.
That the only way to move on is to literally be involved with a new bunch of people.

I think some people would be proud of me, if I just pick up the phone and give them a call.
But I haven't been keeping in touch and I don't quite know what to say except that I'm ready again.
It has taken me awhile to get here but at least I'm late rather than never.

I don't know what the future holds, but I know who holds my future.
And maybe He has been removing that fear, healing that hurt.
Because whatever it is that is not making me dwell too emotionally into all this, I am so grateful for right now.
Somehow that's enough for me right now.

Letting go is beautiful..

The truth is,
unless you let go,
unless you forgive yourself,
unless you forgive the situation,
unless you realize that the situation is over,
you cannot move forward.
 ~Steve Maraboli

It's been over 1 year since I knew of something,
9 months since things ended,
and 3 months since I left.

Today I was finally ready to delete all the saved conversations and passwords I once held dear.
I logged into the accounts for one last time.
In a moment of insanity, I even updated an information.
And then it was poof!
Cleared away everything from the Recycle Bin.

There's a sense of relief.
And being utterly amazed and thankful for the boldness and strength to have arrived at this stage. :)

Awakening

Who is going to be you, if you don't be you?

Lock screen

One final day to be of courage left.
I'm tired of this dread.
Boozing myself numb haven't really helped.

I just want You, my Lord...
With my arms open wide...

Yet He goes;
I am with you...

And the love poured into my eyebrows will sustain me.

Quote of the day

Take it as a challenge!

Says my supportive colleague of the things I'm doing right now.
As I move into another Sprint this week.

Whatever that happens in the future,
I don't want to forget having the time of my life at work right now.
Because it's like seeing Him at work after being in the dark for so long.

Word of the day...

Remember …
more important than the way you  were  and more important than the way you are …
is the way you can be.

Quote of the day.

“You can do more than pray, after you have prayed.
But you cannot do more than pray until you have prayed.”

Word of the day

"Disturb us, Lord, when we are too well pleased with ourselves, when our dreams have come true because we have dreamed too little, when we arrive safely because we have sailed too close to shore.
Disturb us, Lord, to dare more boldly to venture on wider seas where storms will show Your mastery; where losing sight of land we shall find stars. We ask You to push back the horizons of our hopes; we ask You to push in the future in strength, courage, hope, and love."
Sir Francis Drake - 16th century English sailor

Total contrast to what is happening currently in life right now,
but still beautiful to read.

Taking a moment to just be thankful for what is and what is to come.
Because He's in control.

Contentato...

The state of being content.

Woke up early for dim sum.

Ended up having dim sum for both breakfast and lunch. LOL. Can just imagine Vi's dreaded look here ~

Sweet Paradise was a disappointment so I had to make up for it by going to Maxim for lunch.
Delighted that I manage to get the last plate of deep fried bird nest there. *heart* MorMor!

Couldn't find any bees fireworks at the wet market.
But then, who am I kidding? I'll get into trouble if I bought any.

Had a good long afternoon nap after doing some much needed housework.

Found an amusing quote online;

Be careful what you do, and with whom.
You never know who might find your fossil.

Word Struck of the day...

We are called to help one another grow in godliness.

(#250) Having you there...

How can you not have noticed?
If it's a miracle, you worked it.
You made the darkness bright, and built the bridge.
                       ~from How Like A God.

#251
What we are is what it is.

Now to actually, literally rest with that knowledge.
And not try to be like a God.

#252
So we press on, continually press on.

Even when we are weary.
Utterly wise words from Nana.
I'm taking it out of her context of worship.
I'm sure she doesn't mind.

Words to soak in...

“I love you…I love you…I love you.  I love you anyway, fully, completely, perfectly, and that will never, ever change from now until eternity.”

Thankful things

#210 Made it back from Koh Lipe in one piece.
#211 Survived a busy week of work directly after.
#212 BBQ
#213 Staying out til 3am and NOT getting a single word about it.
#214 Steamboat =)
#215 Bump on my head has faded.
#216 Sunburns are finally shedding.
#217 Pulling a familiar ear.

'She's one of the guys now...'

                           ....was both touching yet sad.
Because the truth is I wouldn't be where I am today if I have left or Big Bro hadn't left.
And I miss all of them.

Words to believe in...

Fight to stay amazed.

Fight to dwell in His presence.

Fight to keep your heart alive to His breathtaking beauty.

And fighting is not an easy task.

Now, what?

Some days fall into the 'Now, what?' times and waiting require resilience;

I do not have on my own.

Thankful #185;
My last on-call of the year is now over.
Had great US colleagues who handled quite a few things for me.
Managing to be in church at the same time as critical alerts were pouring in was totally Him in control.

Quote of the day;

There is much in the world to make us afraid
There is much more in our faith to make us unafraid.

UB was not open...

Sometimes the greatest disappointment,
comes from expecting too much of something.

But, Lord.
It's only a burger!
Isn't it?

Delights

A team is only as strong as its' weakest link.

Today's thankfuls

169 Accepting dad who read through the agreement without negativity.

170 Sweet, sweet sound of violin returned.

171 Not eating steamboat all by myself last night.

*had written a longer explanatory post for each of the above but Mozilla swallowed them. T_T *

172 Had company walking the whole stretch of promenade last night.
Been meaning to do it for such a long, long time.
It was peaceful watching the gentle ripples of the sea in the dark.

173 Three Cantonese words that are way better than the word [cougar] I have in mind.

174 One of the Silencerts talks and answers back now.
Huge improvement! One more to go now, yay!!!!

Finding comfort in....

Life here on earth is not easy.  We are still on the battle ground of a perishing world awaiting the final call of Christ.  Our momentary problems are working out eternal ramifications. They are preparing us for royalty in a kingdom that will never end.  We are always  going to have struggles and pain, but we must never lose our focus for God’s is always with us on the path that he has prepared for our lives.

“Though our feelings come and go, God’s love for us does not.”

~C.S. Lewis~
