He is the reason for all seasons

Getting back into the swing of work is no easy task after a couple of days of pure lazing around.
And as I surf around the net, reading other people's blog about Christmas, backdating a Christmas post...
It strikes me,

He isn't just the reason for the season.
He should be the reason for all seasons.

I think Ps. Sam mentioned a line with that kind of twist last Sunday service.
I can't remember exactly what was preach.
But this morning, it just speaks to me.
We have so many seasons in our lives, seasons of emptiness where we usually feel lost, distracted and just far away from Him, seasons of joy where everything is working in our favor, and seasons of complacency where it's just OK......

Ecclesiastes 3:1

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:

And the seasons just come and go throughout our lives.
But the thing is,
He is there in every season of our lives.
Whether when we are in doubt and feeling far away,
Or just going through OK-ness,
He's there watching over us get through that particular hurdle in life.
He's the reason we live through every seasons of our lives.

Not just this season when long holidays relaxes us
And we get to meet up with old friends, or get presents
Which pretty much makes us glow in a warmth feeling of love.
As much as we adore Him a little more this season, in all seasons we look to Him.
And love what He means to us.

He is the reason for all seasons

Blissful long weekend consist of

Late nights
Yummy food
Good old library.
ChristWas Love
Silly squabbles
Car face off
Chocolate cake.
August Rush.
O night divine!
God's greatest gift was born
Adoration to the highest One.
Beautiful performance.
Gleeful mischief.
Truce.
Darling girls.
Blind car shifting
6am randomness.
Heart warming wishes.
Outrageous laughter.

Although,
Absurd tremor disrupt bliss
Draining.
No baby visit.
Functioning on low fuel.

Love can't get any better than this. Hehe.

This Christmas

~He's the reason for this season~

Isaiah 9:6
For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Let us remember why we celebrate Christmas each year.
Not for the presents,
The lovely holidays,
Nor for the fellowship this season brings.
But for without Him we are nothing.

As Christmas draw nearer....

Thought of the day

It's hard to shine beside another brighter star

But you're a flower, not a star....
Swaying with the breeze
Fleeting like a dandelion
Shrinking like a Touch-me-not

The elites were playing last night.

Grow at your own pace, child....
Rain or shine, seeds flies.

Not every instance of criticism is pejorative.

The battle between good and evil is doomed!!!!
Whahahahahahahaha!!!!!

My delight is
in a child, growing up so fast.
Laughing along to Mr. Bean's antics.
Wanting my company.
I adore her even more now for finally leaving the phase of hating me.
Haha!!

My delight is
in a room, all to myself.
in the bed I sleep in.
it's home to me.
I wonder how I will get used to a room a third it's size now.
Haha!!

Blessed Christmas to all!!!

Beautiful weekend ending on a rainy note

My weekends keep getting better and better this Christmas season!

Spent Saturday morning painting 'One Way' signboards for the KCP.
I think this year's KCP is so much better, with lesson sessions with the kids.
The youth of GROW really made a great job entertaining them with the games and the mime show.....
Haha!
I missed lunch and there was so many nuggets left over that I gobbled some up.
Right after that....
Went to A. Amelia's house for their Christmas party cum Celebration of Hope project.
It was sooooooooooo good to see Yi Ling there.
And Mel and Legs came back from KL just that afternoon itself!
It sure was fun whacking Kong Kong's head after such a long time!
Hahahahaha!!!
Too bad Mi had to go back to Singapore so early and we just missed her by a few days!!! :(
And Chor Kong's MIA in UK....
Else ar.....
I really hope one day all of us will be able to gather for a 'family' photo. But so far the max we have gathered is 4 people each time. Always got people MIA.
*sigh*

BUT......
I now have a very good reason to go down KL again middle next year!!!
Mel and Legs getting married! Congratulations, Ama!! Kong Kong!!
(*okay enough...i'm suppose to keep that news low-profile)

Yippee for my trip!!! Hahahaha, sounds so selfish! But really....it's such good timing.
This year was February and July..., May would make it 9 months in between...good good timing to get another bag!!!
And I managed to secure a place to crash in KL for the next couple of years...... *wicked grin*
Hahahahahahaha!!!!

I love the warm fuzzy feeling I get when I meet up with old friends. Especially those that has been really a blessing to me. And at A. Amelia's.....it's just
*bliss*
Yeah, too bad I lose my appetite. I'm not sure it's from the happiness or the unnecessary worry of what happened this year will happen again flashed into my mind the moment the wedding date was announced....
I think I've made a promise that I might regret..... The problem is I can't remember the exact words I said when the promise was demanded of me. *sigh*
A lot of things can happen in the next 5 months however.....and besides I have alternative options this time around. So, someone please slap me out of my worry filled imaginative mind on what's going to happen and leave it to God!!! Pray pray....

Sunday morning, A. Joanna showed us her trip to Israel. It was really amazing that she had the opportunity to go to Israel. After all, in Malaysian passport it is written except Israel. And they built churches wherever events happened. Many of them had mosaic paintings on their walls, symbolizing the miracles or event that happened there. After service I grabbed her little kid and swing her round and round and round.
Hahahahaha!!!
I thank God she didn't cry and wanna find daddy! Instead she retaliate abit and wanna hit me back. Haha! Last time, squeezing her cute cheeks abit would have brought on an outburst, which scares the wits out of me! As if I tormented her!

Last night, was at Fort Cornwallis, catching the Celebration of Joy. It was interesting to watch the crows there gliding each time before they land because it was so close to the seaside the wind helped in their aerodynamics. Too bad it rained so heavy before I get to watch Antenna dance!!!! There was a good song where they integrated 'Joy to the World' with 'Joy! To the world', I thought that was really really cool.
Getting wet was nice in small quantities, but having my shoes flooded up and leaving black ink all over my feet is a no-no!! I especially hate it when people walking past me really near splash all that mud water INTO my shoes. That's the yuckiest!!! What more I had to wear sandals to the office this morning!

All the ink marks showing.
I am plagued by back ache this morning. Standing and sitting straight for long hours can do a lot of harm, to someone not used to it.
I'm in pain yet grinning.
Hahahahahaha! I'm obviously in so much pain delirious laughter occurs!

KCP Rehearsal

Heheheheheheeeeee!

I had a miracle night. No long lecture on 'driving back all the way to BM just for church...etc etc'

Heheheheheheeeeee!

I guess it's true, when you choose to honor God, honor your parents.....things can turn out smoothly. I keep telling people I was going to sneak into BM and sneak back out without my dad's knowledge, but the more I thought about it.... the more guilty I felt. It's not lying, but omission of the truth.....is a scandal of it's own. I figure this long lecture about church....won't be as bad as IF anything were to happen to me driving across the bridge so late at night coming back to Penang and being exposed at that point.

I thank God he was getting ready for work when I called to say I'm coming back. Haha, he didn't have time to say much and I just crushingly reminded him not to lock the door when he gets back after work. I thank God his car didn't see my car driving back. Haha, that has happened a few times and provoke a few unnecessary comments. I really really really thank God that he was all quiet when I got back at 11pm. Because by the time 10pm came in church, and we were still having rehearsal and gift packing my heart was growing colder and colder......in anticipation of the dreaded long lecture. The power of prayer can do wonders.

And I did laughed. Whole heartedly, belly out laughs.
We have the craziest kid's praise song to play!!! And I'm making alien spaceship sounds from the keyboard!!! It's a kid's party, so we CAN go crazy!!! I tell you some true colors are only seen this month of the year! Heheheheheheeeeee!
And thank God I didn't bite on my teeth. You know sometimes when you laugh too hard, you might accidentally close your mouth shut just a little too hard when trying to control your laughter.......

Waking up at 6am this morning, despite having bloodshot eyes right now, it was worth it for the night I had. The fellowship in preparation for Christmas.....Hahaha! Besides, I manage to go to my favorite breakfast van this morning, and they just on the lights at the same moment i stop my car in front of them. Ting! Like a fairy wand work!

Heheheheheheeeeee!

When pain can't help but be there.....

We eat!!!
Yea.....today my teeth starts to specifically hurt. Each of them caught up in the tightened wires.

So I went out for lunch. And drag some people with me. Minutes before lunch time I received an email saying how nice this 'Macedoin Dining' place is in Queensbay. So I just on-the-spur check it out. The name rhymes with 'Whack A Doink'. Which is just so attractive, rite. Haha! The set lunches are only at RM10.80, with main dishes like these;
Grilled Chicken with Potato Wedges and Coleslaw
This was mine. I cut it up like feeding a baby and fed the baby! The goal is to get the food into the mouth without touching any front teeth. Teehehe!

Fish and Chips with Potato Wedges and Coleslaw
Notice there's no extra chips though!

Grilled Fish with Saute Potato
Sauteed? I think the e needs a line above it. The orangee liquid taste a little orangey.

Chicken Chop with Potato Wedges and Coleslaw
Haha! This was the largest that came to our table and my colleague who ordered it is a small eater! So half the veggies and wedges was wasted.

Dental works are really....'No pain no gain' as much as I hate to use common phrases like that, I can't think of any to describe this now moment. It will go away....(*fingers crossed* please Lord don't let me laugh like nuts tonight!!! It will be such a torture on my teeth, Lord. Lovely Lord won't let me be tortured. Amen! :P)

All I can think of right now is......

I've finally got my full set of brackets put in today!

I had enough self control this morning to not drive into McD's drive-thru for a vanilla ice-cream. Or get my favorite 'jagung pau'.

My jaws are giving me head-throbbing pain. Panadol's not working. I wish I can separate out my whole mouth, jaw and all for just the next few working hours. Somebody give me a jab or something! Icky, icky pain!!! :(

I can't wait for KCP rehearsal tomorrow! If only I can be a hundred percent sure, I won't be this grumpy by then. (Dear Lord, please intervene by then!)

I've changed my blog colors again. Haha!

The end of Nodame Cantabile

I had such a nice weekend.

Finally finished Nodame Cantabile on Saturday and can get over my obsessions with their classical pieces and how well the characters play them.
Although I'm a tad dissappointed la....the 'on/off' romance of the main characters in the show kinda sealed at the end only by a HUG and alot of words BUT not 'love declaration's from the guy. Ish. Summore dare to deny in front of her parents!!! (Oops, sorry if I spoiled the show for ya, Lyin! You'll still help me find the music scores, rite?)
But that's how Japanese dramas are. They are not obvious, exaggerated love stories, just bittersweet, no yucky yucky (thank God!), warm scenes.
I've discovered that Beethoven Symphony No. 7 Piano version is way fantastic.
Play it slow and it sounds so sad, so pathetic....but speed it way up.........it becomes such an amazing, beautifully energetic piece. Now I want this music score also!!!!!!! It's so difficult to just play by ear because this piece was made for an orchestra so when its converted to piano there's alot of places where many fingers involved in a single shot.

*/edit at 1.03pm I found the music score!! Weeee!!!!!!!! Liszt converted some of Beethoven's symphonies into piano pieces. It's beautifully insane!!! Now to simplify it to 6 fingers version.... Haha!/*

On Sunday morning, we have the honor of having the Heartbeat Band from FGA KL and Ps. Cameron Bennett from YouthAlive as our guest speaker. Looking at the team from KL, makes me miss KL a teeny bit. Donuts *sigh*. And seeing a Roland keyboard wrapped and packed up into a hard casing much like lead guitars is way...........*sigh*. It was a good refreshing service though. God cleared a few things in my heart. It was also the last service for a family gonna move down to KL. I'm going to miss them. Their sense of humor can brighten up the gloomiest person, and more importantly they made me at ease. There are jokes that take a while to understand, but their's bring out belly-laughters on the spot.

I picked up lunch on my way back here. Thank God I did, because the bridge was all bottlenecked up at 2pm!!! So early for a jam to start!
There's just such pleasure biting into a piece of hot Cheezy Wedges held in one hand while driving with the other hand. And licking the cheesy sauce off my finger tips.......*bliss* I won't describe about starting a burger at the first traffic light, and continue biting while driving because all the other traffic lights are green after that! Some other time. Haha!
I believe that once you have mastered the art of eating a sundae ice-cream while driving, you can eat almost any other fast food in the car. Hehehehehe!!!

good music+altar call+food+sleep=NICE!!!!

Fun Facts 2

Teehehe! Another set of fun facts!

See... my blog colours have correct purposes. Hahaha!

You Are Emerald Green

Deep and mysterious, it often seems like no one truly gets you.
Inside, you are very emotional and moody - though you don't let it show.
People usually have a strong reaction to you... profound love or deep hate.
But you can even get those who hate you to come around. There's something naturally harmonious about you.

Your Blog Should Be Purple

You're an expressive, offbeat blogger who tends to write about anything and everything.
You tend to set blogging trends, and you're the most likely to write your own meme or survey.
You are a bit distant though. Your blog is all about you - not what anyone else has to say.

You Need Some Green in Your Life

Green will make you feel alive, renewed, and balanced.
And with a little green, you will project an aura of peacefulness and harmony.
If you want stability, you've got to get a little green in your life!

For extra punch: Combine green with blue or purple

The downside of green: It can promote jealousy in yourself or others

The consequences of more green in your life:

You will be drawn to a new life path
You will feel free to pursue new ideas and interests, no matter how strange
You will be released from the demands and concerns of others

And this one here.....guitars are cool. I just have short fingers.
There was once we were playing a game where we line people up by how long their thumbs are, mine was shorter than a Standard Six boy!!!

You Should Play the Guitar

You're very independent - both in spirit and in the way you learn.
You can teach yourself almost anything, even if it makes your fingers bleed.

You're not really the type to sit patiently through a music lesson - or do things by the book.
It's more your style to master the fundamentals and see where they take you.

Highly creative and a bit eclectic, you need a wide range of music to play.
You could emerge as a sensitive songwriter... or a manic rock star.

Your dominant personality characteristic: being rebellious

Your secondary personality characteristic: tenacity

No mention of IT here though.

Your Scholastic Strength Is Deep Thinking

You aren't afraid to delve head first into a difficult subject, with mastery as your goal.
You are talented at adapting, motivating others, managing resources, and analyzing risk.

You should major in:

Philosophy
Music
Theology
Art
History
Foreign language

Your Heart Is Purple

For you, love is about establishing and developing a deep connection.
If it's true love, it brings you more wisdom and inner strength.

Your flirting style: Sincere *Yuck*

Your lucky first date: An afternoon at a tea house *Yuck*

Your dream lover: Is both thoughtful and expressive *Yuck*

What you bring to relationships: Understanding *Yuck*

Yuck yuck yuck yuck yuck!!!! I don't know why I even bother to do this one. Haha!

You Will Be a Modern Bride!

While you aren't ready to throw away all wedding traditions, you want a wedding with a twist
You're more inspired by celebrity weddings on E! than from bridal magazines
Whether this means getting married on the beach barefoot or a mariachi band for the reception...
Your wedding will be a blend of old and new - white dress cocktail, personalized vows, whatever suites you!!!

And the ultimate ones.

Your Driving Is is: 51% Male, 49% Female

According to studies, you drive both like a guy and a girl.
This means you're a pretty average driver, with typical quirks.
Occasionally you're frustrated and or a little reckless, but that's the exception - not the norm.

Your Inner Muse is Melpomene

You are most like this muse of tragedy.
While you aren't depressed, you don't shy away from sadness.
Although you do tend to be gloomy, you have a sensitive side.
And this sensitive side helps inspire and help others.

There's a 12% Chance You've Been Abducted By Aliens

There's virtually no chance you've been abducted by aliens.
But there's always hope for the future!

Your Mood is a 1

You can't imagine really feeling worse than you do right now. You're definitely going through a rough time.

Nodame Cantabile

I'm in love with:

Mozart - Piano Sonata in D major for Two K.448 - 1st Movement (Chiaki and Nodame Version) by Nodame Cantabile

I want the music score!!!!!! Ahhh!!!!

Over the weekend I got caught up watching Nodame Cantabile. It's so easy to swoon over the main characters because of all the familiar classical pieces that are played and involved in the background music as well.
Nodame is the leading lady's name and Cantabile simply means 'playing in a leisure or simply manner'.....somebody correct me if I'm wrong. Haha!
This show is seriously cheesy, if it wasn't for all the pieces in it. It is however, based on a comic/manga and has anime version as well. Now if only I can find all the OST.....
