Anniversary weekend

It's been fun playing with the Hokkien and Mandarin folks.
They may be tardy and laidback in attitude, but their hearts were truly out there worshipping God.
Even the good looking ones.

It was good to have had this complete voice only moment this morning.
Some days I forget that my voice matters too.

It was hard to not be nervous especially when cameras were pointing at me.
I'm glad everything went well and we had no major hiccups.

As much fun as I have had, it's also been tiring going to church 4 days in a row.
As thankful as I am of the opportunity to serve, I'm also thankful it's over.
Time for some much needed rest now.

New teas!

In the course of one week, I have somehow opened three new boxes of tea.
Tea is making up for the anxious state of not snacking on any junk food lately.

Empress Grey has grown on me over some time.
This is my second box which thankfully can now be found here.

China Rose is a cheeky graceful flavor that reminds me of grave sites.
Which I just love visiting when on holidays.

And the Tetley Mango and Strawberry is a new one from Aussie.
They have sadly stopped producing the Peach infusion.
I am really relieved this one isn't too sour for me.

A cuppa tea...

Finally opening my China Rose from the UK.
The dainty smell of rose is comforting today, having spent part of this week struggling internally with His plans vs my own plans.

The little one.

He's alot like me.
At a glance all angry, taking a longer time to make one realise his features are more unsure and sadness.
More blue than anything else.

He doesn't tell me 'It's okay' like Carrot does.

I'll give u a name, little one.
Or maybe you are the first that doesn't need one.

The usual Christmas fun...

Some days I wonder how long this annual trip will last.....
It's always fun but never seems enough...

Toms

Over and over I imagine....
Me....
Up there with you.
Pulsating rhythms right through me.

Maybe they are dreams.
Maybe a figment of my imagination.
But either way all mine.

Sausaging!

Eating these today...made me felt like a sommelier that tasted different distinct grapes on a plate.

On another note,
Dear blog,
thank you for lasting so long with me.

A word for seeing faces in obscure things.
Do you see what I see?
Hahahahaha.

Melbourne in one post.

The season of Spring is lovely to be in.
I loved going to Fitzroy Gardens and the Conservatory there.
I found so many dandelions on my way back home one day that I just plucked four and
made a wish.
These are all from mars, I actually took some macro flower shots with Blinky but am too lazy to upload them.

One of the days in the city, I made my way to the Art Gallery in order to play this Street Piano.
There was actually two Street Pianos, but the other was in the lobby and there was a lady sitting next to it with her laptop and I was too shy to play there. So I made my way down to the car park and found this one.

The last two days before I turned of age was spent playing board games.
It was nice hanging out with Shawn and Wei Jenn, cousins from afar and of a certain age gap yet able to play together.

The last hours before I turned was actually spent making sure the kids had their dinner and milk, stopping a squabble, clearing up and dozing off waiting for their parents to get home.
We went to 400 Gradi for lunch on the big day.
The world best pizza maker supposedly own this place.
The food was interesting, nothing like fast food pizza places.

This is the utterly awesome cake on fire with 73 candles,
before lighted where candles was demanding for space and after in a sea of wax.

Somehow every time I go over to Melbourne I end up adding to my stash of OPI.

There are so many things to be thankful for.

My first day in the city I actually lost my Myki card, and was back tracking 3 different places looking for it. It had the worth of quite a few trips to the city in it so I was upset with myself for being so careless. Was already calling my bro and telling him about it as I was checking out the last place to look for. Lo and behold after hanging up, I asked the sales person at this last place and someone had handed in a Myki card. It really made my day.

It was nice to be around the kids, giving out hugs and kisses in abundance.
When I ask the youngest what he will miss about me going home, he said he will miss playing with me.

It was nice to be together, wishing each other Happy Birthday in the morning.
To have that one moment where even he realizes that the last time we actually celebrated together was when I was in primary school so long ago. And how now we have turned 73.
Then to have the cake on fire (which my older nephew thought was the stupidest idea ever), was just awesome. It took quite a number of huff and puffs to blow it out.
I'm thankful that my sister in law let me have it that way.

The whole idea of the trip was to celebrate together.
To embrace the sharing of birthday, instead of being awkward and wondering why it had to be like this.

To just be the part of me, that belong to this bond of day.
And I'm glad I did it from the pure thought of wanting to.
Not doubting how silly or wasteful of money it is.

Dinner plan

Nothing like nachos and salsa to wind down a Monday. Only, maybe a beer would complete this awesomeness!

Sleepover rocks!

Just so thankful for:
A night of manicures and Jane Austen movies.
Brunch, board games (which one of I won!), more manicures and korean dinner!

Lights out for me now.

A-Z Antelope

You see, the thing is I do know what an antelope is. It's a reindeer looking animal that lives in dry, summer, flat lands instead of wet, winter, highlands like the reindeer. And it's handsome in a kind of effeminate way compared to the reindeer.

But then my mind would drift away into word play like;
Can an ant elope? And why would it need to elope. Do ants fall in love?
And...
Why is it that the edible cantelope is only one alphabet away from an animal? Does an antelope ever ate a cantelope? And who exactly cant elope while the ant elope?

And there goes my first post on A-Z without really blogging about antelope. Did I just elope from the given word? Lol. You be the judge. ;)

Renegade

Utterly cute!

If only I can play without the need to feel safe by sinking my survivors into the water,
surrounded by rocks and forest away from the sharks and whales.

The 99.90 stash

39 books!

All fitted in... with some space left!

Finally..

Super excited and happy Saturday.
Drove in KL alone for the first time to church.

Chor Kong & Chor Ma got married!!!!

I was a tad embarrassed when the MC called me out for one of the group photo.
Nearly jumped out of my seat, actually.
I was going to join in this time, I swear.
Even though I didn't technically know the groom from church, that was the closest category to describe how I know him. Lol.
In a way I was also touched that Chor Kong remembered in the midst of his big day and hundreds of guests.
Touched and embarrassed at the same time are two emotions that slightly contradict each other.

And so....
This wedding brings me to the finality of TSFers weddings.
The best is always saved for last...and now both my fondest brothers in Christ are married.
I feel like I'm having closure with my college years there. And it's all good.

KL trip that's tripping me...

I am so blessed to be here with Nana!!!!
Words aren't enough to thank God for all the things that have worked out so wonderful in His timing.

And buying 15 Chicken Soups is like the icing on the cake!

Constant

Thank You;
For the people You have place in my life.
For this opportunity to grow in dependence of You.
For loving me just the way I am.
For guiding me to see Your light and Your truth through all that I have going for me right now.
In Jesus name, Amen.
