@=..=@

Being in a place of leadership isn't accidental.

I want to rant about that.
Leadership.
But the words isn't forming into coherent sentences.

I've resorted to faces since I can't seem to find a proper title these days.

^^(__)^^

I'm so tired and I stink of durians which I have no love for.
I only ate because dad was persistent and guilt tripped me into eating on his behalf.

The photo isn't rotated like it should be, I'm too tired to troubleshoot right now.

But it was awesome to have plucked mangosteens straight off trees and eat.
It was awesome cleaning durians off dirt and dried leaves.
Seeing how branches are pulled down to get to rambutans.
And being so close to the 'wilderness' at night.

It's worth remembering a day like this.

Fever over and out!

From watching Mr.Popper, "Bald Eagle over and out!" was a good kid's show.
FEVER was so-so, it's the first time I watched the local Penang talents perform.
I was hoping to catch some mind-blowing classical piece or something which is funny considering it was all about Pop, Cabaret and Jazz.

There were quite a bunch of kids from the music school preluding the event and they were darn cute!
The Pop section was pretty much owned by the younger generation, while the older ones really hit it with Cabaret and Jazz numbers. I didn't really get the Cabaret part.
The non-local performers were pretty amazing though.
Like this guy.
He cleaned up rather well,
beardless and in a suit,
for someone who months ago was busking in Europe,
to be one of the Master of Ceremony for the event,
and got the audience engaged with this song.

And with the current stuff happening around us, it was rather brilliant of them to include "Imagine", "Change the World" somewhere in the event and "Stand By Me" as the finale.

That's about all that I want to blog bout it.

A letter from the past (written in loving memory of another life)

Found an old letter my bro and I wrote to Ko when we were kids.
I was amused over my handwriting, spelling and grammar mistakes. And I asked for ice cream all the way from Melbourne. Really a 'Kids say the darnest things' moment.

And it brought up fragments of those years.
The mention of Malacca in my bro's part of the letter, reminded me of the yellow soft toy dog and harmonica he bought from his trip. How excited I was to receive the dog and how soon after that one of the paw was broken and we could see the filling inside.

A dam of memories burst forth just like that.
I remember cooking Maggi over an open fire, McD meals we waited patiently for our parents return before consuming because we didn't believe they were ours, the teachers' room we'd sneak into during the weekends to find water guns the teachers had taken away from students on the weekdays, observing dead mice taken apart on canteen tables I eat upon during recess, flying front teeth, owning chickens, tortoises, a cat, a kitten, and birds on the window frame.

*SNIFFLES*

There was a life before here that was completely different.
That little girl deserves a good cry over once in a long while.
