Today I made the decision to quit playing for a month.
Maybe two. Let's see how I am by January.
In some ways, it's best to grief now than to not feel anything at all.
I'm not invincible, God is.

On a Saturday evening
@
6:34 PM
Flashback.
Lunchtime in my training days.
Doodling in a corner of this very branch of MacAdees.
Alone.
Now.
Dinnertime before jam practice.
What an opportunity to be here as the wireless is too terrible at home to get some on-call work done.
Alone.
My dad brought up the fact am I not afraid coming here alone and risking someone coming right up to me and grab my laptop.
I had to muffle a laugh and told him this is the common sight everywhere.
Much safer than leaving a laptop in the car.
What transpire from that conversation is the thought that,

My own sleep fest
@
12:48 PM
It's a blast of a weekend when I get to sleep for hours and hours.
On Friday night, I manage to nap a few hours before a call at 11pm as the usual Friday night outing was cancelled.
On Saturday afternoon, instead of doing some baking like I originally planned....I had a 6 hours nap after lunch instead. Kakaka! On top of that, I went to bed early around 11pm, which is a rare thing for me.
Sunday morning was up early like usual. And after church + lunch it was to dreamland again for another 6 hours. Hahahahaha! My dad marvelled at my ability to sleep that much.
I'm frankly rejuvenated. It's amazing what some good sleep can do.

White, hot and sexy piano
@
11:20 PM
I have totally fallen in love with the piano in the video 'Next Plane Home' by Daniel Powter.
Go take a look in youtube. But IMHO, the lyrics is absurd and the playing is utterly cheesy.
Somebody please help me find out what brand and model that piano is!!!
I can only dream of such a toy to play on!
It's so darn awesome, standing white, hot and sexy in the middle of nowhere......I couldn't believe my eyes and how utterly unrealistic it is to have a piano in the middle of nowhere. *sigh*
Don't ask me how a piano can be sexy, because.........just look at the curve of its leg man!!!
It's just inviting people to bang on it!
On another different note,
I just realized that I have worked for 15 days in a row without a full day of rest.
And I have another 4 days more to go before the weekend, making it 19 days!
I've really breached God's days of rest.

What a weekend!
@
10:06 PM
I thank God for exactly 6 hours of sleep on Saturday night and this afternoon.
I thank God that I was able to resolve the call that came in at 6am before worship today.
God is brilliant in timing.
I'm frankly exhausted. But it's not the end of the world kinda exhaustion.
I guess 'Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord' really is true.
Both my wrists are so painful right now I don't even know which to bandage up first.
I know they need to rest.
The whole week before has been unusually quiet in terms of incoming emails and calls that I should have been more prepared for the storm this weekend.
But having said that, I truly learnt how to stand on my own feet more this weekend than I have been for a while.

Except for my embarassing failure to leave a proper voicemail to Mr. Tom Cruise lookalike.
*Haih*
I hope I get over it pretty soon.
