Going Solo

I start my freaking solo on-call for 48hours in 8 hours.
I've been calm this whole week not worrying about it.

But this morning,
My darn worry-free bubble started to crack.
At moments like this, you kinda wonder if what you think you know, is enough assurance(freedom from doubt).

I'm praying that all will be okay.

This little bird is being kicked out of the nest to fly.

Heartbeat

Yesterday Odie won't start up after work.
And had to be jump started to resurrect him.

Odie's heart crashed for good at around 2am last night.
His clock stopped at that time, that's how I know.

He had a heart transplant this morning.
But it isn't the same again.

Today is the 11th day in the 11th month of 2008.
What a day for things to happen.

It annoys me a heck having to go thru this so soon.
That sinking-hollow feeling when things go wrong, you can't seem to shake off even when you know you have a set of 'instructions for life' to solve it and you are calm going about it.....

I do however realize that I'm thankful and truly blessed through this experience.

For my colleague was still around when I left, because usually everyone leaves at 5pm sharp around here. She really tried to help by calling up this and that friends of hers to get a foreman over. The best part was she kept me company while waiting for the person to get here. What more she chatted up with the foreman, which is a huge relief because I'm hopeless in making conversations.

This morning, when Odie couldn't start up again, one of my uncle came over by chance.
So at least I wasn't alone when I had to call the people to come again. And he brought up the heart 'trade-in' question I wasn't sure how to bring up. Hehehe!

Wistful of me....

It was just wistful thinking.
I swear I didn't say out loud that I wanted to eat 6 Aliens on my birthday.
Or maybe I said I wanted to buy 6 Aliens, but when Bee offered to, I chickened out.

Today...... I only told my brother to get 3 Aliens for me.
I'm not greedy (really!!!).
When I opened the box of Big Apple Donuts, imagine how surprised and gleeful I was to see 6 Aliens.
The bad news was, Blinky's internal parts have gone on an affair!!! And I couldn't take pictures.
Of course I had to 'share' with my dad, but he only consumed one.

So in the end,
The big donut fan had 5 Aliens today.

It's definitely a dream come true.

On another note, I've come to realize that I'm a sucker for presents.
I'm not sure if it's a right feeling.
I'm hoping that I'm not the only one this way.
But everytime a stranger gives me pressies, they automatically gets brownie points from me.
Increasing the speed of me liking them.
I just can't help it.
So far there's been 3-4 cases.
And I fall for it every time.
Even when I know their intention of giving me pressies is to suck up to me for reasons I can't disclose here.
Someday, I think I might even sell my family if the price is right.
Man, I wish I don't sound so materialistic!
But I can't help it, I'm confessing to who I am.
Hahahaha!

Battle updates

Last few days have been really painful to the point where I can't sleep at night.
The warzone in my mouth is getting worst.
One side has taken the tongue hostage.
Who want's to see a jagged tongue. RM2 per view.
The other side has decided to......damage the inside of my cheek in retaliation.

And I missed last week's episode of TARA3.
Which made it all the more traumatizing because my favourite team got eliminated.

Blinky's internal organs are going on a far off journey with Blackie.
Talk about having internal affairs. (You better be bringing back a whole bunch of stuff for me, Bee! *evil grin*)
My Blinky's reputation is going down the drain committing adultery.

I believe I'm still in dry humor mode.

Rubber bands

To prove that I have not been underutilizing Blinky....

Presenting the latest addition to my mouth!
Rubber bands!
Boy, are they the true nastiest!
They can really hurt!
Ok ok.....here's the story without the drama.
This morning I went to my dentist for my monthly tightening and she added these to my teeth.
The reason is to help get my molars moving forward. For this to work, she links one end of the rubber band to my bottom molar bracket-hook, and the other end goes to my upper canine that has a hook as well. On both side.
The thing is I have to change them everyday myself, thus the two packets of rubber bands.
And I have to wear them 24/7 except when I'm eating or brushing.
They hurt because.......it's so darn tiny (see the middle picture? that's my middle finger....don't worry I was pointing to the cupboard...no one in particular in mind at that point of time) and stretching them this way......

IT's THE BATTLE OF WHICH IS THE STRONGER TEETH!!!!!
Will the molars give up and move forward?
Or are the canines going to drop out like dead flies to gravity?
Because technically molars have 2-3 roots for freaking-out loud!!!!!!!
Compared to the canines that has only one root!!!!!
But don't be too sure of that!
For after all, canines are known to rip and tear food apart darn well!!!
They might have a trick up their roots or two!

Who wants to have a betting game going on?!?
Come one, come all!
The results in a couple of months!

How this technique is suppose to get the molars moving, I can't imagine.
Argh!!!!!!!
Yes, I'm in alot of pain.
Hence, the dry humor.

But at least I'm utilizing Blinky.
