I was going to do a post about books and Giotto and how delighted I am about both.
But that post is now on hold, because as my last on call weekend of the year 2011, the system has decided to play a joke and I have 130++ emails still to go out of 320, the rest which consumed the last 4 hours of my life that I could have been napping or reading away. >.<
So here I am taking a short sane break before the madness continues.
Also because the rest of the seniors has gone for dinners and lunch, it's only fair that I took a break as well.
I am thankful for the seniors who are helping me out, it could very well be all me alone single handedly, but this is still frying unnecessary brain cells away.
So depressing.
Bleah!

Water for Elephants
The title itself is only mentioned once, as the responsibility of the narrator during his time in a circus when they purchased an elephant for the new main act after he shot the horse that was the main act before he joined the circus, out of pity for it's pain and misery of an infected leg. Heck, he almost lost his own life for killing the horse. It's pretty sad, the show showed all the hardship the people behind the scenes and animals have to go through. The mad circus master and performers have better living circumstances on the train but the people who pitch the tents up are left to fend for themselves. Some are thrown off the train along the way when there's not enough money to pay and feed them and when they are thrown on rocky area they died from the fall. There were parts where the torture was too much, I covered my view with my bag.
Priest
In light of the recent going-ons,
which (by the way I laughed my heart out when I read because of how outrageous it is, despite it being so true and dangerous), I can't help but realize that the movie 'Priest' puts the Church in a creepy, dark stand of denial. The underlying vow being 'Obey the Church, or you don't obey God' and everyone within the locked down city is forced to hold that vow or be treated as outcast and live in the Wasteland. They denied the existence of vampires out of city wall even when there was proof right in front of them. That aside, it was creepy, tons of bloodshed and I winced everytime the vampires came out to play. The creepiest part for me was where one of the hero had to walk past cocoons after cocoons of vampires, and of course they came out after him at some point. I didn't mind so much when they fought the vampires in the daylight.
Surprisingly, the movie isn't launch in the US yet. According to the internet, this show was held back a year from release to introduce it in 3-D. I'm scared enough watching it just like that!
I have a tendency to structure really long winded sentences.
An English lecturer once called it 'flow' but I think its just ridiculous.
Is there a cure for this?

Woke up thinking it was Monday and I was late for work.
And sank back into bed when I figured out it's only Sunday.
Felt more alive thinking it was Monday instead of Sunday.
The words 'If my heart has grown cold' is striking a strange chord inside, battling between denial and wondering how far gone am I. Has it gone cold? My last break was like, just in mid August.
And I can't remember what the next verse after that says.
Maybe today won't have felt so crummy if I've woken up late and gone to church like usual instead of being early and irritated myself because no one was there early for the one time I was actually early in a long while.
Maybe today would have been better if I've just gone along and smiled at every mother and wished them 'Happy Mother's Day'. Of which I did not, choosing instead to hide in my usual corner and keeping conversations to a minimum. I could have even been subconciously sulking over nobody coming early when I did. Who knows? Who bothers?
I need sleep. Tons of it.

Been some busy family time the week before Resurrection Sunday.
Resurrection Sunday was also the day 2 rings were exchanged.
Chinese wedding would be held in June.
~Was awesome to have handled a scorpion, milipede and caterpillar at the Butterfly Farm.
~I now have direct numbers to a neurologist and an opthalmologist on my mobile.
And I know where they live too. Hahahaha!
~Finally having the time to look at the photos properly, I realized that my brothers and I kinda all share the same nose.
And it's moments like this, that I wish our mum was here to see it all.
Who would have thought that once all grown up, brothers didn't exist just to traumatize you or make your life a living hell?
