Power and authority

It's been a long week, having to work on some nights.
Struggling to understand what's on someone mind beyond the weekly brandishing of 'high' expectations.
And how to work from there.

I decided to call it quits on Friday and just crashed when I got home.
That night, I finally got some Pixiedust on my nails.
London is so awesome!
It actually looks elegant, instead of shiny fun.

I'm loving the strength of this song.

The same power that rose Jesus from the grave
The same power that commands the dead to wake
Lives in us, lives in us
The same power that moves mountains when He speaks
The same power that can calm a raging sea
Lives in us, lives in us
He lives in us, lives in us

In a kampung...

This has picturesque quality.
Maybe in the daytime.

Delights

The chatter of voices while doing the dishes.
The persistent rain while lounging on the couch.

It's been awhile since I last noticed my surroundings this way.
Delighting in the bliss of harmonies.

Despite my sickness, in a way I was also delighted to have learnt two songs that I actually liked.

And I picked up a new hobby this last weekend.

Like flickering stars in the darkness, these are what the tiny moments have meant to me.

Three words...

Kamsia, Chu!

Your eyes sparkle as you say it.
Even when days and nights have spun into one.
And people have become a blur of relations.

Peace

I remember what it feels back then.
And that's all that matters.

October is here....

Things hasn't gone as planned.
Ambitions had to be shoved aside when sickness comes into play.
And it's a sore point for me when it is rubbed into you that you are using sickness as a means of getting away with things.
I probably haven't cried so bitterly for a long long time.

Coming out on the other side, there's this sense of acceptance.
There's only so much you could do in one day.
And what little hope left, is for the self to have a full recovery.
It's October.
