A little update

Drove through a hail.
It was super exciting and dangerous because I was driving at around 90km/h while ice was dashing on the windscreen.

Ate lychee, plums and cherries. Can't wait to get longans.

Bought pom-pom yarn at only $1.99! Gonna get more before the month ends.

Bought magnetic nail polish. Which is super cool. And the next big thing after shatter nail polish.

Quote of the day:

Sometimes you have to distance yourself from people.
If they care, they'll notice.
If they don't, you'll know where you stand.

The Silver Lining in Every Cloud

I drove back in the after work bridge jam (with my dad) and was pretty much grumpily stuck for nearly an hour, when I received the call to go BBQ. I wasn't sure at that point if I'd made it back in time but 15 minutes later I was closer to home and told them I could make it.
I couldn't help grinning at my close timing.
Everything just went well from there onwards. There was no terrible jam going over. Our fire got on, the food cooked quickly, cleaned up real well after eating and we were even able to lie down for a little before the first tiny drop of rain hinted us to get going.

I wouldn't have made it if we weren't already on our way back like my dad insisted.
That's what my silver lining of the day is.

I'm not ready for this.
I really really am not.
Mentally or emotionally.

So I hope I find my silver lining there.
Like I did today.

If you see me online, I am most likely 3 hours ahead of you.
And I've disappeared from the face of Malaysia by then.

Dragonerty Fpptball!

I'm only online right now because my dad insist on coming home to watch FOOTBALL when we are suppose to be socializing at reunion dinner.
But I probably left my cousins way more disappointed because I was doing their manis half way with my stash when my dad made it clear we were leaving. The what-about-my-nails?!?!? situation was funny. *LOL*

So here's to a Happy Dragon New Year !

Flabbergasted

I flabbergasted myself.

Here's the deal.

Was at LWE hospital visiting a colleague and saw Mr. Add Maths being wheeled towards the entrance of the floor.
I duck into my colleague's room once I was able to unfroze myself from the shock of the sight of him.

But later on, my curiousity got into me and I just had to check if it was really him.
Found his name at one of the room but he wasn't there.
And I thought okay now I don't feel so bad if I don't wait for him to come back and 'visit' him.

I turned around and he was on his way being wheeled back!!!!
I freaked out and walked past him, and waited for the nurse wheeling him to come back out to ask what's wrong with Mr. AM.
Turns out the nurse was an ex-student too.
There was just no getting away at that point!!

So I went in.
Maybe half attempted to introduce myself, although now I can't remember even mentioning my name.
He didn't recognized me. But it didn't stop him from going on talking when I asked why he was there.
And he really really talked despite in my mind I see he was pretty much talking to a stranger!

He talked about how he went to school this morning and had extreme pain from his lower back down to his thighs. And he was there to finally get an MRI scan.
How the pain been growing lower and lower starting from his lower back quite some weeks back from playing badminton with Mr. Maths.

I listened as he explained the teaching language situation at school.

And there was this total sense of deja vu when he mentioned 'I give them questions/exercises to do and if they don't know they'll ask me and I'll explain it on the board' because just as how he taught AM, he's using the damn same technique in Physics now!

How he drove himself all the way to LWE.

He probably would have gone on and on if we weren't interrupted by his neighbour being admitted into the bed  for the night. The visitors were pretty rowdy so he sort of gave me permission to leave.

0___0 I definitely wasn't expecting something like this to happen. 0___0
A younger me would have......run for her life.
So somebody slap me and tell me I wasn't dreaming when I walked in and sympathized.
Because I still can't believe I did just that.
*emo*

Come to Jesus

It's really pretty on the piiiiiiaaaanooo!
Had a blast learning this up.

Our song set this Sunday was right in all the right places.

You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord, blessed be Your name

You shine, filling us with courage and strength
To follow You.

More than the air I breathe
More than the song I sing
More than anything
I need you Lord

Fly to Jesus
Fly to Jesus
Fly to Jesus and live....
