He came to my desk with a quivering lip —
The lesson was done.
“Dear Teacher, I want a new leaf,” he said,
“I have spoiled this one.”
I took the old leaf, stained and blotted,
And gave him a new one all unspotted,
And into his sad eyes smiled,
“Do better, now, my child.”
I went to the throne with a quivering soul —
The old year was done.
“Dear Father, hast Thou a new leaf for me?
I have spoiled this one.”
He took the old leaf, stained and blotted,
And gave me a new one all unspotted,
And into my sad heart smiled,
“Do better, now, my child.”
Kathleen Wheeler, "A New Leaf"
The Father's heart is so much more than we tend to remember, tend to think of.
Day by day, we are made new every morning.
And we do need to be reminded of it, from time to time.
On days where discouragements seems to come one after another.
Or the emotional rollercoaster is turned on.
Or even just on those days when everything is going well for us.
We, frankly don't dwell enough in His love.
*And I have no idea why I just typed all that using 'we' and 'us'.

Season Dawns
@
10:52 PM
Sometimes seasons come and go, without us realizing them.
A new season has begun this April.
I find myself holding new responsibilities, having tenacity on the ones I've had
And most of all, having a glimpse on what is to come.
I'm not ready for these new responsibilities or what is to come.
It is strange to hear the quavering of my own voice.
I laugh at how nervous I really am inside.
But I do know one thing.
He's in charge. Not me.
And for that certainty, I have a peace in me. Somewhere.

All in a day's work

What is it about aging that frightens?
What is it about dreams and reality not equating that frustrates?
What is it about being on an emo rollercoaster thats just not professional?
Trust. In. Our. Only. Hope.

So hold on to me tight
Hold on, I promise it'll be alright
Cause we are stronger here together
Then we could ever be alone
Just hold on to me
Don't you ever let me go

We're all defaulted to the best once we're His
It's been a crummy week.
Rashes on Monday (straighten out with a jab).
Stood a friend up for an hour on Tuesday (which ended with her leaving 15 minutes before I manage to arrive).
Almost standing the same friend up again on Wednesday.
Eating the wrong stuff again today and seeing those ugly blots all over my arm, just makes my Thursday.
I haven't been pleased with myself for having to put work above friendship. Above attending to His stuff.
As much as I love my work, this week has been in a state of much frustrations trying to leave on time. And not accomplishing it.
But as I reminded Vi of that statement, it strikes a chord in me too.
Because of His death on the cross, our slates are clean.
And God do not see us as we see ourselves.
He see us as children of God and all He wants is for us to turn to Him.
And He has the perfect plan for each and everyone of us.
We who are made in His image. Made in the image of Perfection.
How can we not be defaulted with perfection as the ultimate core where the Holy Spirit is?
And we do not struggle or strive, but press on.
For it is done.
Happy Good Friday and Easter.

Visited mum on Sunday.
Funny thing that happened.
We walked into the reception of T's college because it was brand new and so close to my dad's place in SJ that he wanted to find out what was the renting rate. So the conversation went something like 'Our hostel is only open in July etc etc...'So what is the room rate?'...'The room rate is rm550 per student' turned look directly at me and went 'So, what course are you taking?'
Hoping hard I'm not blushing I said 'I haven't decided yet.' which was followed by 'Because we are nearly full'....'Oh, ok. I'm still looking around. Thank you.' And I had to quickly get out of sight because I couldn't stop the smirk on my face and the stiffled giggles....LOL LOL LOL......definitely a 'young' moment.
Had my double mushroom swiss at BK. Had my choc pudding and bavarian cream donuts.
Resulted in rash that I'm not sure what the cause is and I went for a jab to stop the darn itch.
