Lesson of the day.

Don't bake when you're mad about something/someone.

Because the outcome will be just disastrous.
And needless to say a waste of ingredients in the process.

Implicit words 2

It's 2am.
I'm home.

I'm exhausted.
From a 1 hour phone call and a nervous unfortunately dissappointing chat.
A tad sad.
I'm bad at warming up conversations.

I hate it when I feel that I've made myself looked silly.
And today is one of those days where I've been using the word 'tad' a tad too much.
Maybe I haven't evolved all that much.

It was a good night out.
That's about 8 scoops of ice cream, I think.
And a good drive back as well.
I hope for a good weekend and no more such embarassment.

Please God, let no one bring it up.

Implicit words

I miss blogging. gaming.
Weekend to weekend seems such a far distance apart.
I wondered if my brain would stop forming words into sentences because they had nowhere to go.
I can't wait for things to finalize and be here at night sometimes.

It's been yet another good week. So far I've made myself a fool getting all panicky (one an embarrassing false alarm) 3 times at work. Twice this week.
Hopefully this weekend will be a NON problematic one, as I'm on shadow call.
My seniors are more worried for me than I am. Talk about keeping it cool.

I've discovered that I am capable of laughing at myself, all by myself. And am delighted with this discovery.
I've discovered that my tongue been wagging a tad more these days. And I can't do anything about it.
I must have evolved. *sigh*

Pasta-urday

I got tired of cooking another pot of soup for yet another Saturday.

The catch is: My dad only wants soup unless I'm eating.

So I had to figure out what I want to eat AND make sure it's not out of his league as well.
The outcome...........

2 broccolis, 1carrot and loads of garlic to satisfy the man of his veggie intake,
and 10 chicken balls and 3 sausages to satisfy the little girl's meat intake.
Of course the pasta and a can of Prego sauce is a must.
Muahahahahahahahha!

Using butter instead of cooking oil, the garlic smelt really lovely upon touchdown.
Of course I took advantage of the situation and scooped more broccolis on his plate than mine.
Muahahaha!
Thank God, he says it was okay.

A lot of times in the kitchen with my inaccurate measurements, timing and nonsense,
it continually amazes me that the food turns out alright.

Broccolis are a bit darn difficult to clean and cut without messing up the whole basin.
Which is why I don't like working with them. But he loves them, so I have to deal with it.

I realize that the common pasta available in our supermarkets are either spaghetti, macaroni, shells, spirals or linguine. And to me, that's not much of choices since spaghetti and linguine are about the same like noodles, macaroni looks funny......and the only interesting ones left are shells or spirals. One of the malls I've been to in the last few days had bow tie pasta, but it was too late since I already bought the shells pasta awhile back. Maybe next time.

And yet again, this stays within the family. I'm not cooking for just anyone.

Just look at that....

I've been looking at this picture for the past hour, having a false stop in my heart
and a gasp lodged in my throat since I first saw it.

Sometimes in the most simplest unintentional things,
God reminds me of who I am in Him.
And in this photo, it is a 2-sided story as well.
I am touched.

Thanks, San for this photo!
It was fun staying over for the pancakes and tarts!
I'm too lazy to blog about it, so readers please click above for the pictures and recipe.
Hahaha!
I seems to be getting into the habit of promoting other people's blog these days.
